It typically takes 6-18 months to develop a strategic plan. We expect to bring in a professional facilitator to help us define the process and lead us through some of the foundational assessment elements, plan development, and implementation plans. Part of this process will be the development of the timeline.

It's also important to note that in part, the journey can be the reward: some ideas are good enough that they'll be implemented before we get to the formal plan development or official implementation phase.
